Start your day in Gods Word

The Christian response  to the turmoil in the world is wisdom and staying in Gods word.

Proverbs 2:1-9

10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;

11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;

13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;

15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:

16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;

17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.

18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.

19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.

portland-riot-1-main

Wisdom, knowledge, discretion and understanding it some regards we may see this as common sense if we are walking with the Lord. But as the passage continues it gives warnings of the evil men that “speaketh froward” Froward is an adj, it is defined as stubbornly contrary and disobedient; obstinate. Three times we are warned of evil people who are described as such. Watching the news, it describes the rioters and many of the anti-Freedom movements we see today, without the word of God we cannot gain wisdom, discretion and understanding and we would be left defenseless spiritually and as the end times approach we need Him more than ever.

The strange women and the stranger that falter her with words, in my view this is how the world tries to entice us away from our Master the Lord Jesus Christ. They make evil things seem okay, or not so bad. They use false words of tolerance and caring to try and appeal to those who are unsaved and weak in the spirit.

Stay in pray my brothers and sisters, seeking Wisdom, knowledge desecration and understanding never ends.

1 Corinthians 1:25 says Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men

Knowing this we realize that are quest for wisdom will not end until we are called home.

Our Christian response should be love and understanding, but we should never compromise Gods unchanging Word. We can and should hate sin, but as sinners ourselves we should remember to pray for those who have yet to find Christ.

Heaven Father, keep us safe and in your word as we see this land slip into chaos. Help us not to be discourage but instead to be eager for Christ’s return spreading the Word of God with more urgency now than ever before.  Be with us Lord as we face the evil of the world every day.

Amen

Christian American

I am a Christian FIRST then and an American in that order. As a Christian American my vote came down to some main issues. Late term abortions, Second Amendment Rights (and all rights) and the fact that this country needs a new direction. Obama has failed America he did however change us, for the worse.

American pride, national pride is something we should celebrate. We could spend hours going over our mistakes, we are a young country. Instead I will celebrate our advances and victories. We have made large strides in civil rights, something Mr. Obama seems to forget. There our counties today that have freedoms they never would have had with out an America. This list to could go on, but I will end with the fact that founded or not, based on media lies or backroom orders from the DNC you get to protest.

Presidential Prayer

Illegal is Illegal

America must have borders, Mr. Trump our President Elect is not against immigration, he is against ILLEGAL immigration. We are a nation of laws, if you don’t believe that how can you be an American?

teddy-roosevelt-immigration-1907

This statement best sums up what We expect, no Demand from those who wish to come here. There is no need to through-out our old heritage but we MUST become Americans.  Your protest against Mr. Trump #TumpProtest on this issue are unfounded and your chants Un-American. Changing the name to undocumented does not make it legal. Keep in mind it is the same Laws we hold dear that allow you to protest PEACEFULLY.

A word for BLM

The Black Life’s Matter group is a home grown terrorist hate group. The sad thing is there are people who march with them that are condoning their violence and are to ignorant to know the difference.

As a Christian and an American I know that every life matters, even that baby so many kill without regard. Christ died on that Cross for everyone of us. As a Christian I also know, without a doubt I am a sinner, I have failed without Christ as a man to reach the glory of God. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

My sins and your sins will be judged the same, if you are saved like me they will be forgiven, if not your sins will not be forgiven. This is not predicated on race, God loves me and you so much he sent his Son the Lord Jesus Christ to die for all of us.

A BLM leader was set to be on stage will HRC had she won, and the BLM people have been to the White House, a few times,  not only do I disagree with their tactics, but I condemn these two leaders for their support of such tactics.

Come Together

We will get through this, Mr. Trump is not perfect and I will keep him honest when need be we all should. Media needs to start doing their job, not leaning towards a party but back towards the people.  We are Americans and we will once again be the shinning city on the hill.

Hate will not get us there, but love compassion and a clear understanding of that the Government works for us.

God Bless

Feeling Lost

Feeling lost, I’m sure we all feel that way at one time or another. Not lost while trying to find an address but lost as in what direction you your life is going.

I have excepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savoir, many years ago and lately I have been trying to get back and live in His Grace. It has been a hard road back to God, backsliding was easy, climbing back up is another story. Sometimes your hear yourself say I’m not good enough, I have waited to long and God can’t use me. This is the devils cadence, in your head every chance he gets, Satan wants nothing more than for a backslidden Christian to stay that way. He hates God and he hates Christians.

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

It is a short verse yet it covers many of the walls Stan tries to build between my God and I. The past 6 months have been very fluid, work, home, family, friends and yes the world has had many ups and downs. Tonight I was feeling lost, lost in my career specifically. I have spent many years doing the same type of work and just 7 months ago had three very good job offers, now here I am essentially back were I started and ready to give up settle in and “do my time”.  My confidence went from an all time high to a new low. Not a good feeling, but Satan was enjoying it well I will not be dismayed because God is with me wherever I go.

1 Corinthians 16:13

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

Faith, I love it, faith is easy sound cocky? It shouldn’t if you are saved, In the verse above the Bible is telling me to Be Watchful pay attention, watch for Satan’s walls recognize his cadence. Stand Firm in the Faith. Faith is mentioned in verse after verse it is essential in being a Christian, act like men, be strong. The Bible was written at a time when men had to socially and biblical follow certain rules and do certain things. Strength in this refers to strength in God, in Faith and stand firm.

And when the cadence starts and the walls go up remember this verse.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

So the wall of feeling lost has crumbled (today) and I will watch for the next attack until then I will continue to move closer to Christ and his love. And don’t forget to keep your eyes on him, you don’t sink when you do that.

How To Become A Christian

Becoming Saved

I am not a preacher or a teacher, I do my best to share God’s word and often stumble through what I’m trying to say. How to become a Christian is too important, I can witness when face to face, but a wordsmith I am not. Please visit THIS LINK

I was saved when I was 15 and for a couple of years I was active and growing. Something happened, I let something drive me from the church and more importantly from God for many years. I continued to pray and sometimes read the Bible, but was not an example of a Christian by any measurement.

Over the past 10 plus years things happened that gave me the time and opportunity to pause , go to Christ in prayer and start working on my relationship with God again. I can never regain those years, but God has been true to his word and forgiven me, when I stumble He lifts me back up.Satan continues to attack me, he favorite attack is using my own memories and guilt to tell me I’m not worthy of God’s love, the fact is no one is worthy, the Bible says All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).

The fact is that once we lay our sins at the cross we are forgiving, we cannot forgive ourselves, but we need to faithfully lay our sins down and ask for forgiveness in return the Bible tells us in  1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

If you are a Christian who for what ever reason has slipped away from God, ignore the whispers of the devil and go back to the cross. Christ shed his blood for us there and rose again, we are cleansed by his blood, don’t waste that and it is never too late.

Good Bless you all

Definition of the word Psalm

Psalms 31

1 {To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.} In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

2 Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.

3 For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.

4 Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.

5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

6 I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD.

7 I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;

8 And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.

9 Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.

For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.

11 I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.

12 I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

13 For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.

14 But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.

15 My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

16 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies’ sake.

17 Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.

18 Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

19 Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

20 Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

21 Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.

22 For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.

23 O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Psalm 143:7-12

Psalm 143:7-12

Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.

Cause me to hear thy loving kindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.

10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

11 Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.

12 And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.
